Blackberry Farm Shop
Blackberry farm is home to Mike, Lizzy and their three children. Mike specialises in breeding and showing pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle for which he has won many great accolades including the Queen Mothers Cup at Royal Smithfield. The farm also supports a mixed breeding flock of sheep which include Romneys, Texels and Suffolks.
Lizzy opened their award winning farm shop in her little larder in 2002. The business has steadily grown and her new shop at Blackberry Farm is surrounded by farmland and has stunning views of Dartmoor. She also conducts the farm tours and visits local schools to help children learn about the relationship between farming and food.
Lizzy is passionate about food and together with Gillian & Jen they cook much of the delicious fayre served in the tearoom and sold in the shop.
Food miles are very important to us so the food sold in our shop or served in our tearoom is either grown on the farm or sourced locally where possible.
Our butchery sells our own award winning beef and lamb as well as local pork, free range chicken, duck & wild game. We make our own sausages & burgers and can put together weekly or monthly meat boxes to suit your requirements.
In our farm kitchen we freshly bake our own sausage rolls, scotch eggs, ready meals, pies and pasties. We serve these along with our homemade soups, cakes & scones in our tearoom.
